- 1/2 kg (1 pound) general purpose washed potatoes. Russet or Desiree are examples, ask your supplier for other suitable local varieties
- 1/3 tsp salt (or more to taste)
- 60g (2 oz.) butter
Serves 1-4 people depending on portion size. Preparation time for this quantity is 6-7 minutes.
